Press urge lifting of Voice TV gag order | Bangkok Post: news


Tonight Thailand was one of two Voice TV shows cited in the shutdown order from the NBTC's designated Voice TV permanent monitor Lt Gen Perapong Manakit, PhD. (File photo)Press corps associations have urged the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) to review its order suspending Voice TV's broadcasts for 15 days. The digital TV station is now airing normal programmes online via its website and social media, but has been banned from broadcasting on air. The NBTC order was also denounced by the Southeast Asian Press Alliance (Seapa). Lt Gen Perapong Manakit, PhD: Voice TV watcher has ordered previous bans on the station.
